Shortly after the launch of Grok 3, the newest AI model from Elon Musk’s AI venture xAI, X has markedly increased the price for its top-tier Premium+ subscription plan, bringing it close to $50 monthly.
According to X’s support page detailing premium subscription options, the monthly fee for Premium+ in the U.S. has now been adjusted to $50, while the annual subscription costs $350.
This marks the second increase in Premium+ pricing by X within a few months; back in December, the monthly rate rose from $16 to $22. New subscribers will find that the current plan costs Premium+ customers over twice what they previously paid, based on any of the new rates.
xAI has also decided to segregate some features of Grok 3, offering them through a distinct SuperGrok plan accessible via the Grok app. Consequently, only select functionalities such as “deep search” and “reasoning” will be available to those subscribed to the Premium+ plan.
It’s important to highlight that the pricing isn’t uniform across X: when attempting to subscribe to the Premium+ plan, this reporter encountered a monthly fee of $39.83 ($477.95 annually), but the checkout page displayed a total of $395 for an annual subscription.

Furthermore, although X’s support page claims a monthly price of $50, the sign-up page shows a different rate of $48.40 per month, while the checkout page lists a monthly fee of $40.
