Uber Now Allows You to Look for Rides in Different Cities—Learn How to Navigate This New Feature

In preparation for the busy summer travel period, Uber unveiled on Tuesday a novel service aimed at streamlining trip planning for its users. This innovation lets patrons not only scout out locations in different cities but also secure their transportation arrangements well before their flight touches down.

This latest enhancement by Uber is set to simplify summer voyages significantly, responding to the uptick in demand for early travel arrangements. Airlines for America has forecasted a surge to around 271 million global flyers from June through August, an increase from the previous summer’s 255 million. This functionality emerges as a highly requested service by Uber’s clientele over the years.

With this update, riders now have the option to “Search in a different city” and pinpoint their preferred endpoint. The aspect that sets this update apart is the ability to pre-book a ride, choosing a pickup time up to 90 days in advance or for the same day. Uber also sorts out estimated fares and wait times for journeys originating from airports or within the bounds of numerous cities. 

Spanning over 10,000 metropolises globally, including notable cities such as Athens, Buenos Aires, Dublin, Florence, Paris, Rio De Janeiro, Santo Domingo, Sydney, Tokyo, and Vancouver, this attribute is broadly accessible.

Uber rolled out this feature today, complemented by several others, such as a collaboration with Flying Blue enabling members to accrue miles, a novel facility for pre-booking “Uber Bubbles” in Paris for champagne expeditions, and an offer for a complimentary hour-long cruise at Pont Marie.
