Today, Meta’s competitive platform, Threads, unveiled several enhancements, notably including the capability to save several drafts, desktop customization through column reordering, and detailed audience insights. Moreover, Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, revealed plans for incorporating a feature that allows scheduling posts in the near future.
On the occasion of its first web version anniversary in August 2023, the company celebrated by introducing these updates.
The drafts feature began its initial testing phase in February of this year and was released to all users shortly thereafter in March. The new update now enables users to retain up to 100 drafts per account.

Furthermore, Meta has launched an Insights screen providing in-depth data on the demographics of your audience including their age, gender, and location, as well as an overview of post views and interactions, categorized by followers and non-followers.
In May, Threads introduced a multi-column layout for desktop similar to TweetDeck, allowing for pinning various columns like searches, liked posts, activities, saved posts, profile page, and Insights. The recent update now permits users to customize the order of these columns, although the “For You” column must remain in its original position at the forefront on the left.
Both the Insights feature and the ability to organize columns have been preliminarily available to selected users for the past few weeks.

Threads is also piloting a multi-feed experience on iOS with a select group of users, although it remains unclear whether these feeds can be reordered.
Earlier in the month, Threads celebrated reaching 200 million monthly active users just over a year after its launch. For context, Threads’ main competitor X (previously known as Twitter) boasted over 600 million monthly users in May, according to Elon Musk. Meanwhile, another contender in the decentralized social network space, Bluesky, reached the 5 million user milestone in February.
