Tesla Continues to Erase Its Digital Footprint from History

by admin

The Ministry of Truth appears to have been in full swing at Tesla. Observant individuals, alongside journalists from Electrek, discovered that Tesla has expunged all blog entries dated before 2019 from its website. These posts represent the digital footprint of Tesla, encapsulating vital events including Elon Musk’s foundational master plan, the initial incident of a fatality with the Autopilot system in a Model S, to assertions regarding the self-driving capabilities of its electric vehicles. The reasoning behind this deletion remains unexplained by either Tesla or Musk.

Fortunately, archive.org manages to preserve these records.

Tesla’s attempts at modifying its historical narrative are not unprecedented. A few years back, the company withdrew a blog entry that advocated for the adoption of radar as a crucial sensor for automobile safety, only to halt the use of radar in its electric vehicles by 2021.
