Creatopy, an innovative startup utilizing AI to streamline digital ad creation, has appointed a new CEO: Tammy H. Nam.
Prior to this, Nam served as the COO and CMO at PicsArt, a platform for photo editing, and was also the CEO of video streaming service Viki. In a message to TechCrunch, Nam indicated that Creatopy sought a U.S.-based leader with the experience to scale early-stage businesses, a history of collaborating with European founders (as the product originated in Romania), and a solid understanding of the marketing tech landscape.
“Fortunately, I meet all those criteria,” she noted.
Nam will also join the board of Creatopy, while the former CEO, Dan Oros, transitions to an advisory position.
Last year, the startup revealed a $10 million Series A funding round led by European venture capital firms 3VC and Point Nine. 3VC partner Eva Arh praised Nam, calling her “one of the best operators I know.”
From February 2024 to February 2025, the company claims its mid-market and enterprise revenue has surged by 400%, with a significant portion of this growth occurring in the last six months. Notable clients include AstraZeneca, NASCAR, and The Economist.
“What stands out about Creatopy, especially for a relatively unestablished company, is our success in securing high-profile enterprise clients in challenging sectors like pharmaceuticals and finance,” Nam commented.
She emphasized that clients appreciate the product for its “intuitive interface, outstanding product features, and top-notch customer service.” Nam mentioned that as large language models become more common, Creatopy sets itself apart through its “ability to grasp customer requirements and provide — perhaps ironically — personalized value alongside AI capabilities.”
Nam also highlighted brand safety as a “primary concern,” noting that marketing managers can upload brand kits during the account setup process, ensuring that all AI-generated ads comply with their branding standards.
“Our AI doesn’t substitute for strategic thinking; it enhances it,” she stated. “Some of our clients have reported up to a 10x or greater increase in productivity because we remove the monotonous manual task of generating hundreds of ad variations across different sizes, formats, languages, and more.”
