Spotify Unveils Daylist: A Dynamic Playlist Experience Now Available Worldwide

by admin

Spotify is rolling out its daylist feature worldwide. This tailored playlist changes throughout the day based on your listening preferences. The feature was first introduced to English-speaking markets last year, and now it will be accessible to both free and premium subscribers globally.

Additionally, the company is expanding support to 14 new languages, which include Arabic, Catalan, French (Canada), French (France), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), and Turkish.

The daylist feature was first launched in September 2023 in several countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. By March 2024, Spotify expanded its availability to 65 additional countries, and now it is officially introducing the feature across its entire global user base.

According to Spotify, after the March expansion, a remarkable 70% of users return weekly to enjoy their daylist. However, the exact number of users utilizing this feature or the extent of music discovery it fosters was not disclosed by the company.

To find the daylist, users can navigate to the “Made for You” section in the Spotify app or on the web via this link. The playlist, along with its title, refreshes throughout the day, featuring quirky names such as “bedroom pop banger early morning” or “90s rave rainforest late night.” At launch, Spotify indicated that it leverages data on “niche music and microgenres” that you tend to listen to at specific times to recommend tracks and update the daylist accordingly.

Users can also save their favorite daylist by tapping the three-dot menu, selecting the “Add to playlist” option, and then choosing “New Playlist” to save it in their library.
