Samsung Unpacked: Samsung Hints at a Sleek, Ultra-Slim S25 Model

by admin

The concluding highlight of Samsung Unpacked was quite unexpected. Once the main event wrapped up, the company showcased a short, pre-recorded video of the Galaxy Edge — distinct from the similarly named “Star Wars” theme park.

While details were sparse, this unveiling validated previous speculations that the tech giant is developing an ultra-slim version of its latest S25 flagship. The Galaxy S25 Edge is likely positioned as an additional variant within the lineup, complementing the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models.

Crucial information such as pricing, availability, and the actual thickness of the device was withheld, although the company did display what seemed to be prototype models during Wednesday’s presentation. Initial leaks suggested a thickness of 6.4 mm, representing a significant decrease from the 7.2 mm of the standard Galaxy S25.

Samsung appeared to be cautious about overshadowing the Galaxy S25 during the event, leading to a more enigmatic announcement. Nevertheless, simply showcasing the device at Unpacked could be sufficient to dissuade early adopters from preordering the S25 ahead of its release on February 7.

After all, it’s precisely this demographic that tends to get thrilled over features like a slimmed-down 0.8 mm profile.
