One of the most significant moments from the CES press conference might actually be an announcement of another press conference. The leading hardware firm concluded the main event by hinting at its upcoming showcase. The next Samsung Unpacked event is scheduled for today at 10 a.m. PT, which is 1 p.m. ET.
Similar to all recent Unpacked events, the forthcoming show will be broadcasted live via Samsung’s official website and also on the company’s YouTube channel.
Eager to start preorders, Samsung is offering a $50 credit for its store to those who reserve ahead of the event. You can check out all the details here.
A certain highlight of the event will undoubtedly be the Galaxy S25 series. Since splitting from CES/MWC for its mobile announcements, Samsung has established a biannual schedule for flagship releases. Typically, the Galaxy S lineup debuts around January or February, followed by new foldable models launched in the summer.
The lineup is expected to comprise three main models: the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, with the latter being the flagship model that now integrates features from the Galaxy Note series. As usual, the buildup to the event has been filled with leaks, renders, and accessories, providing insights into the devices’ dimensions as they adhere to specifications sent to manufacturers.
Most rumors suggest that the S25 will resemble its predecessor closely, but with a notable slimmer profile. Recent reports indicate that Samsung has reduced the thickness by 1 to 2 millimeters. Another highly likely rumor is the integration of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, announced by Qualcomm in Hawaii last October. Generally, this chipset is expected for the US market, albeit some variations may exist internationally.
Galaxy AI is set to take center stage as Samsung aims to position itself as a trailblazer in this field, distinguishing its offerings from Google Gemini features that will be accessible on other Android devices. Last year, a significant AI feature was Circle to Search, introduced first on the S24.
Additional potential announcements—though far less certain—may include a new iteration of the somewhat lukewarm Galaxy Ring wearable and updates on Project Moohan, an extended reality headset being collaboratively developed with Google.
