Picsart Introduces Monetization Program for Creators on Its AI Design Platform

by admin

Picsart, a leading AI-driven design platform, has announced the launch of its new creator monetization program, allowing creators to earn revenue by producing original content using its tools. This initiative stands out as it does not require an invitation or a minimum audience size, making it accessible to all creators.

The program encourages users to engage with Picsart’s features for specific campaigns, sharing their creations on social media to generate earnings based on audience interaction. The focus is on rewarding creativity and performance, rather than just follower counts. This strategic shift signifies Picsart’s evolution from merely a creative tool to a comprehensive platform where users can earn income.

Upon joining the program, creators gain access to a dashboard that showcases various prompts and challenges they can tackle. For instance, one task could involve creating adorable animated creatures through Picsart’s AI assistant, known as Aura, which generates images and videos using text or voice prompts. However, merely posting AI-generated images without thoughtful creativity will not yield substantial engagement or earnings.

To submit their content, creators must provide a link to their published work, tag it according to campaign guidelines, and include a brief description of their creative process within Picsart. Content can then be shared directly on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Earnings are calculated based on the number of views, shares, and comments, and creators can monitor their earnings via the dashboard, with payouts facilitated through Stripe.

Hovhannes Avoyan, Picsart’s founder and CEO, emphasized the importance of rewarding creativity, stating, “We’ve always believed that creativity should be for everyone — and now, so should the rewards.” He acknowledged the structural issues within the creator economy, where platforms often fail to compensate everyday creators adequately. Picsart’s initiative is a solid commitment to supporting its community, comprising diverse creators ranging from tutorial producers to aesthetic editors and short-form video makers.

Since its inception in 2011, Picsart has amassed over 130 million users globally and achieved unicorn status during the creator economy surge in 2021. This recent move to implement creator monetization aligns with a previous announcement regarding the launch of an AI agent marketplace, where creators can “hire” AI assistants to streamline tasks like resizing social content and editing product photographs for platforms like Shopify.

With the introduction of this monetization program, Picsart aims to solidify its role in the creator economy, providing valuable opportunities for content creators while fostering a vibrant community focused on creativity and innovation.
