by admin

Meta has announced that its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses will be available for purchase in India starting May 19, with a launch price of ₹29,990 (approximately $353). Consumers can currently pre-order the glasses through the Ray-Ban website, and they will also be available in physical Ray-Ban stores at the time of release.

These innovative smart glasses are designed to incorporate Meta’s AI capabilities, allowing users to ask questions about their surroundings, translate audio and video in real time, send messages from their connected phones, and make phone calls. Currently, the glasses support live translation for English, French, Italian, and Spanish, even when users are offline; however, support for Indian languages has not yet been included.

In addition to these features, Meta plans to enhance the glasses’ functionality by enabling music streaming through various apps, including Spotify, Apple Music, Shazam, and Amazon Music, catering specifically to the Indian market.

Since their global launch in 2023, approximately 2 million pairs of these smart glasses have been sold, indicating a growing interest in this blend of fashion and technology.
