Riders in Arlington will soon have the option to choose a May Mobility vehicle when booking rides, featuring the startup’s hybrid Toyota Sienna Autono-MaaS vehicles equipped with its proprietary self-driving technology. The initial roll-out will involve human safety operators at the wheel while transitioning to fully driverless operations over time. Following this launch, both Uber and May Mobility aim to extend their services to other U.S. cities in 2026, with ambitious plans to deploy thousands of autonomous vehicles in the upcoming years.
May Mobility specializes in on-demand autonomous microtransit services, effectively operating self-driving shuttles in small, controlled environments.
