Linktree is enhancing its platform with a suite of new monetization features designed to empower creators to increase their earnings directly. Among these features, users can now sell courses, capitalise on brand-sponsored links, and create shoppable storefronts, making Linktree a more competitive option against similar services like Beacons and Shorby.
To facilitate course creation, Linktree has partnered with Kajabi, allowing creators to share their knowledge and expertise through paid courses. This opens up opportunities for various professionals, such as fitness trainers and musicians, to offer paid content while integrating payment processing via Stripe for straightforward earnings.
Moreover, creators will find it easier to sell digital products like e-books and templates directly on Linktree, eliminating the need for third-party services that were previously required. This shift means Linktree can now implement a take rate on sales, depending on the subscription plan of the user, enhancing its profit-sharing capabilities.
Linktree also introduces a new shop feature that enables US-based creators to earn commissions from renowned brands, such as Target and Amazon, through curated affiliate links. Additionally, creators can now host sponsored links, allowing brands to pay for space in their Linktree, clearly labelled as “sponsored”, thus diversifying their income.
CEO Alex Zaccaria emphasises the goal of making creative monetisation more accessible for everyone, stating that many individuals have valuable knowledge to share and teach. Furthermore, the platform is launching a “Rewards” program to incentivise creators with perks and bonus commissions as they achieve specific milestones, potentially leading to collaborations with brands.
An essential addition to these features is a unified wallet for creators, which consolidates all earnings from the various monetisation avenues. This means regardless of whether users are generating income from courses, digital sales, or affiliate links, all earnings are stored in one convenient location.
With over 70 million users, Linktree aims to support its creators in establishing sustainable incomes through these new offerings. Creators can explore and access these monetisation tools within the new “Earn” section of their Linktree account, available via both the app and the web. This comprehensive suite of features positions Linktree as an increasingly appealing platform for content creators looking to monetise their skills effectively.
