A newly launched startup is tackling the demand for a comprehensive toolkit designed for users looking to enhance, oversee, and monitor their presence on Bluesky. The subscription service BlueSkyHunter debuted this past Friday, offering an online dashboard that merges analytics access with features for scheduling posts and automating direct messages (DMs), among other tools.
Developed by Slovenia-based Borut Udovic with assistance from external developers, this innovative service seeks to equip Bluesky users with professional development and analytics tools, especially for those transitioning from the more established social network, X, which has offered such functionalities for some time.
This offering will facilitate individual creators, brands, and small to medium enterprises in maximizing their potential on Bluesky, a burgeoning platform that currently boasts over 31.5 million users.
Udovic expresses enthusiasm about developing tools for Bluesky, citing the market’s potential.
“Typically, I find myself entering the market too late, as larger firms already have a stronghold,” he shares. “This is why I chose to focus on Bluesky: it’s still relatively new, and I believe that entering now will be more advantageous.”

While other platforms exist for scheduling social media posts, BlueSkyHunter promises a more extensive suite of features where post scheduling is only one of multiple capabilities offered.
At its inception, the service also includes tools such as a thread composer and an automation feature for sending DMs to users—like expressing gratitude to new followers. Future enhancements will enable the option to send follow-up messages to users who do not reply to initial DMs.

Monitoring Bluesky performance is a key feature of this service, as BlueSkyHunter provides various metrics and visualizations in its dashboard. Users can track total follower counts, monthly posts, engagement rates, growth trends, optimal posting hours, primary niches, topic engagement, and more. Data can be filtered for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or all-time insights.
Plans are also underway to include analytics features that monitor competitors, focusing on business applications.

In addition to analytics and content management tools, BlueSkyHunter aims to help users identify trending topics on Bluesky. A feature titled Viral Posts will highlight the most popular content circulating on the platform. This can assist content creators in recognizing current trends, memes, or effective templates used by others that they might adapt.

In the future, Udovic intends to broaden the tool’s capabilities, enabling users to filter posts by specific topics such as business, travel, or politics. At present, however, many political posts dominate this feature, according to his observations.
BlueSkyHunter will be accessible via a subscription model, starting with a 40-day free trial. For the launch period, the service is priced at $15 per month, though the standard rate will be $29. This promotional rate includes access to upcoming features, such as audience analytics and an AI assistant.
Udovic expresses a desire to expand the team with a full-time programmer if BlueSkyHunter achieves significant traction, but for now, he is embracing this venture with optimism.
