On Monday, Zoom unveiled its latest offering, a webinar feature designed for a single user but capable of supporting up to 1 million participants. This development arrives on the heels of the #WinWithBlackWomen fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris, which saw participation swell to 44,000 users only to experience a technical failure. Additionally, a planned interview on X between Elon Musk and Harris’ opponent, Donald Trump, encountered issues before it could even begin.
Zoom’s latest enhancement is available in multiple tiers, specifically designed for 10,000; 50,000; 100,000; 250,000; and 500,000 participants, extending up to the million-mark. To support this expansive audience capability, Zoom is offering direct assistance through its Event Services team. This move aims to help hosts provide a polished and engaging presentation while ensuring the platform remains stable, even under the potential strain of high user volumes.
