February 2025

Bird

The company laid off 120 employees, which accounts for about one-third of its overall workforce, as reported by TechCrunch. This reduction follows a previous cut of 90 employees last year after the Dutch startup underwent a rebranding.

Sprinklr

The company eliminated approximately 500 roles, impacting 15% of its total workforce, citing poor business performance. These layoffs add to two prior rounds that saw around 200 employees let go.

Sonos

The firm has reportedly dismissed approximately 200 employees, as stated by The Verge. This comes after an earlier layoff affecting 100 employees in August 2024.

Workday

Laid off 1,750 employees, according to Bloomberg, a figure later confirmed by TechCrunch, representing about 8.5% of the enterprise HR platform’s workforce.

Okta

The company confirmed the layoff of 180 positions, which comes just over a year after it released 400 workers from its ranks.

Cruise

The autonomous vehicle firm is terminating 50% of its workforce, including CEO Marc Whitten along with other top executives, as it prepares to shut down operations. The remaining functions will transition under General Motors.

Salesforce

The company is set to cut over 1,000 roles, while also actively recruiting for sales positions related to new AI products.
