As businesses explore how to effectively utilize AI to enhance employee productivity, search functionalities stand out as a prime application. Typically, data within organizations is spread across various disconnected silos. However, the advent of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and robust enterprise integration services has simplified the process of not just enabling search but also developing tools that can address more intricate inquiries regarding extensive data sets. Consequently, it’s no surprise that numerous startups and established players (take Atlassian’s Rovo as an example) are competing in this sector. One of the latest entrants is Doti AI, a startup based in Tel Aviv that announced today the completion of a $7 million seed funding round.
Doti AI aggregates data from various services such as Confluence, Datadog, GitLab, Jira, Monday, Notion, Slack, Salesforce, Zendesk, and many others. This data is then made readily accessible through a chat interface in Slack, and via a feature Doti refers to as “AutoPilot.” This AutoPilot actively scans Slack channels and answers questions directly within those discussions.
According to Doti’s co-founders, Matan Cohen (CEO) and Opher Hofshi (CPO), this strategy allows Doti to rapidly gain traction within an organization, as employees move from encountering Doti in their various Slack interactions to initiating direct conversations with the service.

Cohen and Hofshi initially crossed paths at Wix, where Cohen focused on infrastructure while Hofshi managed a team of security architects. “After we departed from Wix [in 2023], we were uncertain about our next steps,” Hofshi shared. “We initially considered returning to our previous fields—my focus was cybersecurity, while Matan’s was infrastructure.”
During their brainstorming phase, they identified enterprise search as a persistent challenge. “The issue Doti addresses is one that we encountered at Wix,” Cohen explained. The founders contend that resolving this problem necessitates both expertise in integrations and a strong emphasis on security.
“We believe that every individual, team, process, and company will eventually need AI integrated into their workflows. The question is not if this will happen, but when and how quickly organizations will embrace it,” Cohen mentioned.
Doti’s team asserts that, although other companies might appear to offer similar capabilities, their solution is far more adaptable. Doti has been intentionally designed to let businesses utilize their own large language models and customize their security protocols. “We are committed to providing effective solutions for enterprises while being as flexible as they require,” Cohen said. “Want to incorporate your own LLM? Absolutely. Prefer to use your own cloud? We can accommodate that—whether it’s AWS, Azure, or GCP. This foundational flexibility is a game changer for organizations.”
The company’s recent seed funding round of $7 million was spearheaded by F2 Venture Capital, with contributions from several angel investors including Jared Kasner, a general partner at Ineffable Ventures, and Guy Flechter, the CEO of Sola Security.
