Samsung Unpacked: Introducing the Galaxy S25 Featuring Enhanced Google Gemini Integration

by admin

During Samsung’s Unpacked event on Wednesday, the company introduced the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Google also celebrated the event by rolling out numerous updates for Android, including significant enhancements to its AI assistant, Gemini.

Beginning Wednesday, users will have access to an upgraded version of Gemini, which seamlessly integrates across various applications and services on their devices. With a single command, you can request the AI to execute multiple tasks across different apps. For example, if you’re searching for a nearby restaurant and want to share your findings with someone, Gemini can leverage Google Maps to provide recommendations and subsequently draft a message for you to send via Google Messages.

The company has also rolled out new Gemini Extensions for Samsung Calendar, Samsung Clock, Samsung Notes, and Samsung Reminder.

Furthermore, Samsung unveiled new functionalities for Gemini Live, Google’s voice-activated feature that provides an interactive experience. Users can rehearse crucial presentations with the assistant and receive instant verbal feedback. The platform allows users to upload images, files, and even YouTube videos into the conversation, enhancing Gemini Live’s multimodal and contextually aware capabilities.

In the upcoming months, Samsung plans to introduce Project Astra features, showcasing Google’s real-time, multimodal AI assistant. Notable additions like screen sharing and live video streaming will first be accessible through the Gemini app on Android, followed by the Galaxy S25 series.

These announcements coincide with a new side button on the Galaxy S25 series, enabling quick access to Gemini. With a simple press, you can instruct the AI to carry out tasks such as setting a reminder, jotting down a note, or providing information about an upcoming meeting.

Preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series began Wednesday, with shipping set to start on February 7.
