Located within the depths of CES 2025’s Eureka Hall startup exhibition, CaiqueTech unveiled an innovative interpretation of the classic baseball radar gun. After developing a standalone device, the Korean startup has introduced a modular version that connects directly to smartphones via the USB-C port.
The PI SpeedGun module incorporates built-in radar technology. Although there were no baseballs being thrown during the event, the system was demonstrated by tracking attendees as they moved around.
Speed and various statistics are displayed on the large screen of the connected device. However, it’s challenging to assess the system’s precision while navigating through a bustling convention center.
CaiqueTech is optimistic about launching the product soon. A spokesperson for the company informed TechCrunch that the PI SpeedGun is set to debut on Kickstarter around June, targeting a price point of approximately $150.
This device is likely to be a valuable tool for amateur athletes.
