The innovative scheduling tool, Clockwise, enhances its user experience with a new AI-driven feature named Prism. This assistant streamlines the process of handling scheduling conflicts, bulk editing events, and transforming tasks into calendar entries using simple text commands.
Clockwise, much like its competitors including YC-backed Vimcal and the newly Dropbox-acquired Reclaim, targets businesses with its solution to simplify team calendar management. However, it remains accessible for personal use as well.
Prism, the sophisticated AI assistant, is capable of converting text commands into organized calendar appointments. For instance, by entering “Create a link to schedule a meeting with Severian next week,” you receive a link or a note to disseminate your availability. Should there be any scheduling overlaps, the assistant offers an alternative timeframe for the proposed meeting.
Furthermore, Prism enables sharing of a URL containing proposed meeting times, making it easy for invitees to select a feasible slot while also highlighting possible scheduling conflicts.
For meetings that cannot be delayed, Prism efficiently scans through the calendars of team members to find the most suitable time slot, even going as far as to reschedule conflicting appointments automatically.
The tool also extends its functionality to converting to-do lists into scheduled calendar entries and adjusting them as needed, such as when unexpected meetings arise. Additionally, scheduling back-to-back brief meetings with multiple individuals is made effortless with commands like, “Schedule 15 minute one-on-ones with Frank, Robin, Nami, and Tony.”

Commands such as “Reschedule my afternoon” or “Clear my Monday morning” offer quick and efficient options for adjusting planned tasks.
Matt Martin, the CEO of Clockwise, in a conversation with TechCrunch, highlighted that the firm’s proprietary scheduling engine leverages natural language processing to identify conflicts and optimal timings seamlessly.
“Many startups simply attempt to link large language models directly with Google Calendar APIs. It’s unsurprising that these applications struggle with complexity beyond basic tasks. Our seven years of development have culminated in creating the most sophisticated scheduling engine available, enabling Prism to reliably and promptly arrange meetings and tasks,” Martin explained.
Prism is being offered by Clockwise at no additional cost to its users, along with ongoing efforts to enhance its integration with Google Calendar and improve the handling of weekly schedules.
