Threads Now Displays Popular Trending Topics at the Top of Posts

by admin

Threads has simplified the discovery of trending discussions for its users.

On Tuesday, Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, revealed that U.S. users would now notice a tag indicating trending topics above the posts. By clicking on this tag, users gain access to additional posts about that subject, with the option to sort these posts via “Top” and “Recent” tabs.

“We hope this enhancement streamlines the process of locating posts and engaging with conversations tailored to your interests,” Mosseri shared via Threads.

The beta phase for trending topics on Threads began in March within the U.S. By April, the functionality was extended to all users across the country.

Threads continues to explore various initiatives aimed at aiding users in discovering content that matches their interests. In May, it commenced the introduction of a new interface resembling TweetDeck’s multi-feed layout for desktop users.

Furthermore, Threads is in the process of examining a comparable multi-feed interface with a select group of iOS users.

“Our ongoing experiments are a testament to our commitment to enhancing the user experience on Threads. This particular trial offers additional customization for your feed, allowing for a more targeted following of topics you find interesting,” mentioned a Threads spokesperson when speaking to TechCrunch, referring to the experimentation with the multi-feed UI.
