Arc Unveils Its Most Affordable Electric Boat: A 24-Foot Marvel

by admin

Electric boat startup Arc has unveiled its newest and most affordable model to date, named the Arc Coast, with a starting price of $168,000. Preorders are currently open, with expected shipments set for 2026.

The Arc Coast, designed as a centre console boat—commonly used for fishing—marks the company’s third offering after the high-end Arc One priced at $300,000 and the Arc Sport at $268,000. Arc, which emerged from stealth mode just four years ago, is already making significant strides in the electric boat market.

In addition to the Coast, Arc recently announced they are developing an electric tugboat intended for use at the Port of Los Angeles, part of founder and CEO Mitch Lee’s vision to electrify all forms of watercraft.

Powered by a robust 226kWh battery pack shared with the Arc Sport, the Coast boasts a range of four to five hours—or more—depending on usage. It has a top speed of 50 miles per hour and can accommodate up to ten passengers.

A key distinction between the Coast and the Sport, besides cost, is the layout. The helm, positioned at the centre, allows for better mobility around the boat’s edges. The fit and finish of the Coast mirror the high-quality standards set by Arc’s other models, which have been praised for their aesthetic and functionality. Additionally, the control screens at the console have been upgraded with minimalist yet information-rich software.

Potential buyers may appreciate the benefits of electric boating, including the absence of fumes, reduced noise levels, and no need for winterization, which may help justify the Coast’s premium price point when it launches in the market.
