Shortly after Elon Musk’s AI venture xAI launched the newest iteration of its AI model, Grok 3, X has raised the price of its top-tier Premium+ subscription to nearly $50 per month.
According to the X support page detailing premium subscription options, the monthly cost for Premium+ in the United States has been adjusted to $40, while the annual fee is now set at $350. Following this increase in the U.S., prices were also raised in other regions. For example, in the UK, the cost surged from £17 to £35 a month, and in European nations like France and Germany, the monthly fee rose from €21.00 to €38.
This marks the second price increase for the Premium+ plan in recent months. In December, the subscription price was raised from $16 to $22 per month. At the new rates, Premium+ subscribers will find their costs have more than doubled.
xAI has made certain features of Grok 3 available exclusively through a separate SuperGrok plan accessible via the Grok app. Consequently, features such as “deep search” and “reasoning” will only be available to Premium+ subscribers.
Notably, there seems to be a lack of consistency in pricing on X: when this reporter attempted to subscribe to the Premium+ plan, the initial offer was $39.83 per month ($477.95 per year), yet the final checkout screen stated an annual charge of $395.

Furthermore, while X’s support page indicates a monthly subscription fee of $50, the sign-up interface displays a different price of $48.40 per month, and the checkout page ultimately charges $40 per month.
